Biography:

Valentina is research officer with an interest in green infrastructure, ecosystem services and ecological connectivity. She was a master’s student in the Peri Urban Resilient Ecosystems project, looking at how the legacies of apartheid continue to effect marginalised populations’ who live in informal settlements of Windhoek, Namibia – access to green spaces and the ecosystem services they provide.

She currently works a Bioversity International, as an UN/DESA Junior Professional Officer appointment in the Climate Action team of The Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT – focusing on climate change adaptation in farming systems of the global south.
