Biography:

Dr Sethi Dube is a research fellow at the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Namibia and a lecturer in Geography and Geo-Information Sciences at Lupane State University. She is a holder of a PhD in Geography from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa with 12 years’ work experience in academia, and a consultant for environmental management department and conservation NGOs.

Dr Dube has experience in climate change science, change analysis, and environmental management with strong interest in the area of climate and land use change impacts on natural and human ecosystems. She is currently involved in the ISANGO project which seeks to promote an inclusive and adaptive environmental governance of Hwange National Park and its periphery funded by the “French Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects” (FSPI) through the French Embassy in Zimbabwe. Methodologically, she employs innovative spatial, climatic and statistical modelling methodologies to analyse the impact of climate change on human and natural ecosystems.
