Biography:
Amayaa Wijesinghe is a Climate and Resilience Advisor at CARE International UK. She brings expertise on nature-based solutions for climate adaptation to her current role in the development sector, adopting a gender-transformative approach towards climate adaptation and ecosystem restoration.
She previously held positions at the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), the African Climate and Development Initiative and SLYCAN Trust. She has a master’s degree in conservation from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in environment sciences from the University of Colombo.
