Biography:
Alivony is an environmentalist from Antsirabe Madagascar. She graduated with a Master’s degree with Hydrology and Climate Change in 2018 and has a background in environmental impact assessment and applied geophysics. Her five years professional experiences range from resilient agriculture technics development, forest and land conservation, water and sanitation improvement and watershed management while working in different Regions in Madagascar.
She is the co-founder of Malagasy Mianala Association which aims to empower youth capacities in acquiring climate funds and also a temporary teacher at the Institute of Higher Education – Antsirabe Vakinankaratra. Deeply rooted in her country, she is passionate in developing projects related to climate actions and youth empowerment. Being an ARISE fellow is a valuable privilege for her as this research project will allow further understanding on how to increase urban cities resilience’s in Antananarivo and strategical actions to take for decision makers for a safer population and a healthier ecosystem.
