Biography:

Fitiavana Paradisa Andrisoalalatiana was born in Madagascar. He is a resourceful professional who combines scientific rigour with a genuine commitment to environmental protection. Holding a double Baccalaureate in both the Humanities (2017) and Natural Sciences (2018), he has built a broad and interdisciplinary worldview that bridges literary culture, local action, and scientific knowledge.

From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a Physical Education teacher, an experience that sharpened his discipline, strengthened his leadership, and developed the practical fieldwork skills he carries into his environmental work today. He then turned his full attention to environmental management, completing a Bachelor’s degree with a thesis on briquette production from paper and cardboard waste, which constitutes a concrete contribution to circular economy thinking in the Malagasy context.

He is currently an intern at The Peregrine Fund, a globally recognised NGO dedicated to biodiversity conservation. In 2025, through the FLOURISH research programme, he worked as a field survey assistant, collecting data on air quality perception and supporting health data digitalisation, which was a valuable experience that placed him at the intersection of environmental science, public health, and community engagement.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Fitiavana is a member of the YMCA Green Ambassadors, through which he actively contributes to environmental awareness and education. He played a hands-on role in the preparation of World Soil Day, designing and building landscape maquette materials to promote soil preservation and valorisation, highlighting his creativity and belief that science must translate into tangible, community-driven action.
